One week of my break is up, and this note is delayed due to weekend shenanigans that don’t even appear in this post.

I watched two movies with Amber: Pressure, and Sense and Sensibility. The latter at Cineflagey, a cinema I was excited to see from the inside. It did not disappoint. Interested in the recreation (reinterpretation?) of 90s fashion in the show, I decided to watch Love Story, and found the production to not be to my taste at all. Speaking of clothes, I’ve begun using Indyx again, logging at least the outfits I enjoyed wearing, which was two last week. I’ve also been breaking in my new, beautiful brown leather shoes, and I’m already feeling very happy with the purchase. The Phryne Fisher reading adventure continues. I finished two more. Next week, I hope to add some non-fiction books to the mix.
We visited some new-to-us parks, including Jardin Jean-Felix Hap, and I wrote about our park visits here.
I spent more time chatting with my parents than I usually do, and that has been fun. We’ve been making plans for December and January. I also caught up with Prateek and Noopur, and had a long conversation with Vinayak for an episode of his podcast.
Still no Prixel Press printing, but got some planning in last week. I also put in a lot of effort to get the work website out of the proverbial door. I was smart enough to write a lot of the project descriptions in advance, but making images is still very time-consuming. I finished up the sections about research and writing, and workshops and speaking, along with five project pages. I hope to hit publish soon.
My favourite meal this week was rajma chawal. We hadn’t cooked rajma in months; certainly not since I came to Brussels, and possibly for longer than a year. I’m very happy to have found a recipe that starts with canned beans, and takes no time to prepare in the instant pot. It also tasted flavourful yet light. And so, we have a winner.
It was another week when Amber was traveling for a few days. Obviously, this hits a bit differently here than it does in Noida, but I am surprised how ok I’ve become with all the alone time, even here.
