Week 36/2025

It has been a week of work, sleep, eat (lather, rinse, repeat).

What else?

I’m happy that Amber and I returned to Parc Bruggman on the weekend. It was so green and lush this time of the year, and a walk there was incredibly reinvigorating. On another evening, we strolled around Parc Tenbosch, where I photographed some more flowers. After a couple of foiled plans, we made it to a showing of Peter Hujar’s Day, which I really enjoyed. We booked our tickets to India for the winter. I started making Prixel prints for a small animation project I’m cooking up. I got a haircut. I texted an old friend I hadn’t spoken to in some time. After far too much procrastinating, I ordered lots of books — over a dozen vintage Pelicans from a used books seller, and a handful of titles from the Penguin Collectors Society shop. Reading has been slow because I’m just too exhausted by the time I crawl into bed every night, but I still finished one Phryne Fisher title, and started reading Murder Under a Red Moon. One of our neighbourhood tram stops, which had been closed due to works, is operational again, and I am very pleased. I had a catch-up with Aadarsh.

I’m not feeling very upto it this Friday evening, and Amber tripped and hurt his shoulder this morning, but we still rounded off the week with a celebratory lunch at Wayne.
