Look at me, managing to post my week notes on Saturday.
The highlight last week was obviously the solar eclipse. The lowlight was yet another spell of warm weather. It went up to 36°C yesterday; don’t even make me think of the real feel outdoors. I gave in to the tiredness in my body and the weather, and it was a week with barely any movement and exercise. Work continues to be intense, but at least I feel like got stuff done. Some little tax-related niggles reared their ugly heads.
My parents discovered some moisture in the walls of our Noida apartment, and I got very frustrated with their panic about it. It was a work day, communication was less-than-ideal, and I lost my temper. In this apartment, I laid out a couple of rugs that we had brought from India, and Amber took the lead in hanging art behind the living room couch.
I made the two prints I had sketched out last week, and did the primary cataloging for thirty more vintage Pelicans bringing up the total to eighty. I also came pretty close to acquiring twenty more Pelicans in India with Yasir’s help, but the seller didn’t wait until I could send my list and sold them to someone else. It felt like a bigger disappointment than it should have. The Perveen Mistry novels still have a hold on me: I read two more. Only one to go now. I don’t know how I will go on reading every night without them.
